I’m a board-certified psychiatrist offering in-depth psychotherapy and medication management for adolescents and adults. My approach is grounded in transference-focused and psychoanalytic frameworks, with attention to identity, emotional intensity, and the patterns that shape how we experience ourselves and our relationships. I think of therapy as a kind of sandbox: a structured, protected space where we can explore what tends to repeat and begin to try something new. I work best with people who are curious about their inner world, committed to meaningful change, and open to meeting two or more times per week.
I studied sociology at Harvard and earned my MD and MPH at SUNY Downstate. I completed my adult psychiatry training at NYU Langone and my child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian. I’ve pursued additional training in transference-focused psychotherapy at Columbia, where I’m now a psychoanalytic candidate. I also teach and supervise Columbia psychiatry residents at the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
While my practice is fully out-of-network, many patients receive partial reimbursement through their insurance.
